Wednesday, 12. 6. 2006  –  Section: IndianaNews, Vault

The Kinsey Institute has recently started providing sex therapy services at the Indiana University Health Center in Bloomington. These services are available to community members and IU students. The Institute’s clinical hours are currently quite limited as they are only seeing clients on Monday mornings. However, during those hours, Zoe Peterson, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist, is available to treat individuals or couples with a variety of sexual and gender concerns (e.g., sexual dysfunction, sexual compulsivity, sexual assault/abuse sequelae, gender dysphoria, etc.). Patterson is a postdoctoral fellow at The Kinsey Institute. Her doctoral degree is in Clinical Psychology, and she is licensed as a Psychologist in Indiana. She will be supervised by Kinsey Institute Director, Julia Heiman, Ph.D., ABPP, HSPP. The Kinsey Institute welcomes referrals. For more information or an appointment, call The Kinsey Institute at 812-855-7686. If the schedule is full, interested clients may be placed on a waiting list. The mission of the Kinsey Institute is to promote interdisciplinary research and scholarship in the fields of human sexuality, gender, and reproduction. The Institute was founded in 1947 by renowned sex researcher Alfred Kinsey.

Our Inspiration

Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That ripple builds others. Those ripples—crossing each other from a million different centers of energy—build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and injustice.
–Senator Robert F. Kennedy, 1966
