INTRAA's Board of Directors meets quarterly. This will be the final board meeting of 2006. We will be electing new officers at this meeting.


A Traditional Family: Fact or Fiction?

What defines a family in 2006? Join us as we explore today's families with a video presentation, art / photo exhibit, panel discussion and small group discussion. INTRAA Board Member, Margeaux May, will participate as a panelist. Presented by Indy PFLAG, Youth and Diversity, Indiana Equality Region 8 and Heartland Interweave.


The Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual event designed to recognize those murdered due to anti-transgender violence, will be held this year in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, November 18th. This will be the event's 8th year.

On Saturday, October 21, 2006 INTRAA held its 5th Annual Membership Meeting. At the meeting, we went over accomplishments in the past year and elected new board members. The board expanded from 11 to 14 members with all candidates being elected. You can read more about what happened in the 2006 INTRAA Annual Report (doc).

INTRAA is co-sponsoring a "Meet the Candidates" reception which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 7 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington, 2120 N. Fee Lane. Event co-organizers are the Bloomington chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) and Bloomington Beacon. Focusing on Fall Events October 2006 INTRAA Outreach Committee members travelled to Fort Wayne to meet with the Fort Wayne Area Coordinator and start planning for a January 2007 kickoff meeting of TransFortWayne group. Details forthcoming. Finalized the slate of candidates and held the Annual Board Elections. Met with researchers at IU Bloomington who are interested in conducting a transgender community study.
