Speakers Bureau Training – 3/24

Thursday, 03. 1. 2007  –  Section: INTRAAupdates, Vault

The INTRAA Speakers Bureau is holding a training for existing and prospective panelists. Please consider joining us for this lively, interactive workshop! (Space is limited, so please register to reserve your spot.)

REGISTER IS NOW CLOSED.

Speaking about your experiences can be rewarding and cathartic – it allows you to share your story, develop your ideas, and raise awareness among university students, church communities, healthcare service providers, civic groups, and other communities about the lives of transgender, gay, lesbian, and bisexual people.

If you’ve spoken for the Speakers Bureau fifteen times, or never spoken before, now is the perfect time to come and get trained on what it can mean to be a speaker with the Indiana Transgender Rights Advocacy Alliance.

  • WHAT:  INTRAA Speakers Bureau Training
  • WHEN:  Saturday, March 24, 10 AM – 2 PM
  • WHERE: Jesus Metropolitan Community Church

SPECIAL NOTES

Please bring a lunch.  Materials, coffee, and a morning snack will be provided.

Our Inspiration

Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope. That ripple builds others. Those ripples—crossing each other from a million different centers of energy—build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and injustice.
–Senator Robert F. Kennedy, 1966
