Although I grew up in Southern Indiana, I have spent the last few years in Los Angeles County. While there, I was fortunate enough to have become involved in a number of student-generated, educational presentations at various college conferences. Some of these topics included Intersex issues, gender binaries, campus activism, and divisions within the GLBTIAQ community. Other interests include the creation of queer spaces and the mental health needs of GLBTIAQ populations. Needless to say, I’m excited by the prospect of becoming a (queer) ally to the transgender community in Indiana.
